The Negroni was invented in 1919 at Caffè Casoni in Florence, Italy. Count Camillo Negroni asked the bartender to strengthen his Americano cocktail by replacing the soda water with gin. The result was a perfectly balanced, bitter yet smooth drink that gained popularity and became an Italian classic. Over the years, it has inspired countless variations, solidifying its place in cocktail history.
