History & Origins

The Caipirinha originates from Brazil and is considered its national drink. It was initially used as a medicinal remedy in the early 20th century, with lime, garlic, and honey to treat colds. Over time, garlic and honey were removed, and sugar and ice were added, making it the refreshing cocktail it is today. It remains a cultural symbol of Brazil, enjoyed worldwide.
